Hi Junior Players & Parents
Below is some important information and a couple of questions to be answered being sent to all Junior Players registered. This may be going to the Junior's email address or a parent so please forward to all parties.
Just to gauge our current Junior participation can you please email answers to the following questions to juniors@ashgrovegolf.com.au
- How often do you play?
- Do you play in competition?
- Do you play at other courses apart from Ashgrove?
- Your current handicap if you have one?
- If you don't currently play or play in weekly competitions are there any specific reasons for that so we can address them.
- Junior Pennants Team
FREE Lessons - The club is willing to fund some Intermediate Clinics for those players wanting to improve, reduce their handicap and be considered for selection.
Please advise if you wish to be considered for selection and would like to participate in the free clinics.
With only 4 months to go to Pennants season there is plenty of opportunity to make the team. Some of our older Juniors from last year are now too old and we need at least 7 players interested to be one of the 5 players that represent the club in Pennants. It is a 6 week season and is played match play style.
21 players in total represent the club including 11 Open players, 5 Seniors and 5 Juniors.
The team will be selected predominantly on handicap but those with higher handicaps you have 4 months to practice, attend a clinic and get that handicap down. We may even have some selection trials.
To further assist Juniors feel part of the "TEAM" and to teach them how to play match play some of our Open Men's players are willing to mentor a Junior Player and play some Competition Rounds with you.
- Junior Clinics
The next Junior Clinic is scheduled to start on Friday March 26th at 3.45pm and will continue for 5 weeks. Cost is $100 and all equipment is supplied.
Again numbers are limited to ensure quality coaching.

- School Holiday Clinic
Please advise if you would be interested in participating in a clinic during the 1st week of the holidays. This is only a concept at the moment and will depend on interest.
